June 26, 2006 Does anyone have a hard copy of the June 1999 newsletter, Volume 10 Issue 3?  If so, please fax it to me at (910) 343-4400.  I am trying to recreate the newsletters as they appeared when published and post them on the website for archival and historical purposes.  The only copy of the June 1999 newsletter that I have is from the website and some of the information is not complete.

April 13, 2006 I have found an in-service that was not included on the continuing education page.  The in-service on Anthrax Bioterrorism will expire in January 2007.  You may only complete this in-service if you have not already done so.

February 7, 2006 I have finished posting the pictures from the May meeting.  Sorry for the delay.  Each is clickable to bring up a larger image.

January 29, 2006 I have finished and am caught up to date with all of the in-service submissions.  If you have not received yours as yet, it is in the snail-mail.

January 24, 2006 If you feel that you have a co-worker or employee that is worthy of recognition please submit their information for the Ray Manning Sr. Achievement Award to be given at the Annual Meeting and Exhibition in May at Myrtle Beach.  Complete the 2006 Nomination Form by following this link.  This form is interactive.  Fill it out online.  When you finish pass your mouse over the print tab at the bottom of the form your print menu should come up.  Just print the form and submit to Frank Sizemore by March 15th.

January 20, 2006 The CBSPD has granted the approval for the fall in-service.  Please note that I am in the process of reviewing the submissions and hope to be caught up within a week.  Thank you for your patience.

January 6, 2006 The CBSPD has approved the January 2006 in-service "Inventory Control".  I still have not heard about the Fall in-service approval.  The "Inventory Control" in-service was submitted on December 29th for approval.  The fall in-service was submitted on October 21st.  Please be patient.  I have all submissions to date.

January 2, 2006 Please note the following response from the CBSPD.

"I believe this has now been resolved. Please understand that once a request is submitted to the CEU Committee, the CBSPD office has no contact regarding status of programs as this is all handled by the CEU Committee. Due to the large volume of programs submitted, it is essential that 6 weeks notice be provided. The office was advised in the future to respond to inquiries with whatever information is available then refer the inquiry to the CEU Committee even if it is before the 6 week deadline.

Thank you

Nancy Chobin, RN, CSPDM"

December 29, 2005 The Winter 2006 Newsletter is ready and posted on the webpage.  Follow this link to the Winter Newsletter in-service.  Please note that this in-service is pending approval from the CBSPD.

I have contacted the CBSPD six times over the last month and I have received only one response from them that they "would look into it" as to why we have not received approval for our fall in-service submission.  Please be patient and I will let you know if anything develops.

July 3, 2004 The July Newsletter and brochure for the August meeting is in the mail.  No I am not losing my mind, the reason that the last four pages may be in black and white is that while I was printing the Newsletter in color, the printer ceased to work until I were to replace the oil cartridge.  I would not get one until next week and I needed to get the Newsletter in the mail.  Sorry, I tried!

May 7, 2004 The bio information for the 2005 nominees for the Board of Directors and the President-elect will be posted on the Association website rather than including this packet with the ballot form in the fall.  This is an attempt to contain the cost of the mailing.

March 26, 2004 Effective today, subsequent submissions of in-services for certificates of completion will not be honored if we have already issued a certificate for that in-service.  In other words, you can not get a second certificate of completion for the same in-service.  Safeguard your certificates!

March 3, 2004 The newsletter has been sent to print.  You will receive your copy in the mail shortly.  You can also access the newsletter by clicking on the Newsletter link on the left of this page.  The brochure for the May meeting is also available be clicking on the Educational Meetings link also on the left.  NOTE!
